
Coast 2000
When I painted this group of work, I had been living in Canada for 10 years. Although I returned to Scotland every summer and often drew while I was there, these paintings are about the dominance of my memory of the strong northeast Scottish coastline, the massive formations of land on the one hand and the elusive line of the North Sea horizon on the other.
