Still Water 2001

In the still water series, I embark on a new way of more reductive painting that is more akin to drawing. Drawing directly from bodies of still water, I was attempting to capture the constant movement of water and light. The challenge was to hold onto something representational, while allowing the rest to become increasingly abstract.
